Jo told me that your Dad is an expert of landscaping and I can’t wait to learn something new from him! By the way, Glasgow and the military barracks in there (I think they are the closest to Maybole?!)! What is closest to your town: Royal Scots Fusiliers or Highland Light Infantry (City of Glasgow Regiment)?
